| The Gateway Redevelopment Group (GRG) is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization formed by a group of neighbors with the desire to save the abandoned historic structures in Davenport’s Hamburg Historic District. Our first challenge is the Jipp home and grocery at the corner of 8th and Gaines. |

When restored, the Jipp will serve not only as our office, but a place to tell the story of the Jipp's place in the Hamburg Historic District, and the home of our not-for-profit Architectural Rescue Shop. We foresee using the shop to collect, preserve, restore, and display architectural items from other vintage houses being renovated or demolished in the Quad Cities. We also plan to recycle or sell these items and use the profits to help in the restoration of this and other abandoned homes in our neighborhood. For complete details and photos of what we have accomplished so far please click here to go to our PROJECTS page.
